My review of Blu Ray Inception

Lets start with the Audio (my favorite). Audio: DTS HD Master Audio. Great sound and powerful LFE. Be careful with this one. Blu Ray transfer: excellent. Only one real star here: Leonardo DiCaprio. Leo is really full of himself. Also, Michael Caine is a semi star in this movie. If you like explosions, automatic assault weapons, crashes, and more explosions, you will like this movie. If, however, you like disjointed scenes, a plot that makes no sense, real reality that is indistinguishable from dream world & nightmare worlds, don't bother checking it out. Plus a movie that is too long for it's own good (2 1/2 hours). Anyone want to buy it cheap?

Jeff...I think this is one of the best movies of this century. It has so many layers it can be watched multiple times and still pick up new tidbits of information. Call it a movie for people who want to be intellectually challenged while still being entertaining.

    mrhookup,

It's too late for me, I already own it. I like to be entertained, explosions and LFE are good but I didn't like the movie either.

Well, there's no accounting for bad taste. I doubt that anyone could make sense of the plot here. The story line is disjointed. It skips back & forth between reality and alternative realities.(0r un-realities).

It is the point! Sort of reminded me of Memento when I first watched it. Well, it took me several tries to get through Inception, kept falling asleep as I got lost in the lack of plot, but the film has to go that way to be what it is, so once I finally got through it, I liked it.

I really liked the film, the wife, not so much. I really like the whole concept that you can invade someone's dreams and use them to learn secrets. The concept of a dream, within a dream within a dream makes it even more appealing.

I too caught new nuances with a second and third viewing.

The film was also visually exciting, a solid use of the surrounds to create an expansive environment and some great LFE moments to boot.

I watched the movie again last night. It was better the 2nd time. I do much better with movies that run less than two hours.
