George Lucas Now Says That Han NEVER Shot First
From Gizmodo,
George Lucas Now Says That Han NEVER Shot First As He Shoves Star Wars 3D Down Your Throat
History revisionists. I hate them. But not as much as I hate George Lucas for making Han shoot last. Now, with Star Wars 3D about to arrive to the theaters, Lucas has completely lost it. He now says that Han NEVER shot first:The controversy over who shot first, Greedo or Han Solo, in Episode IV, what I did was try to clean up the confusion, but obviously it upset people because they wanted Solo [who seemed to be the one who shot first in the original] to be a cold-blooded killer, but he actually isn't. It had been done in all close-ups and it was confusing about who did what to whom. I put a little wider shot in there that made it clear that Greedo is the one who shot first, but everyone wanted to think that Han shot first, because they wanted to think that he actually just gunned him down.Poppycock.
George, how do you have the thermal detonators to try to rewrite history in this way? Do you think we are stupid? Wasn't it enough to paint that stupid laser blast coming at an stupid angle from Greedo? Do you really think that, if Greedo shot first, he would have missed Han at that distance? Was he the son of two Stormtroopers?
George Lucas, stop saying words. [Hollywood Reporter via AV Club]
What Crap! I saw Star Wars when it was released & Hans SHOT FIRST!!
Doesn't make him a cold blooded killer, it shows him as the bad boy that became a hero, much better than the idiot that let a bountyhunter take the first shot!"Racing is........Life.......Everything before & after is just waiting"

This, as I am getting ready to plop down a bit more of my cash for an opportunity to see Ep I in 3D!
Doing the math on the $'s I have laid out for anything Star Wars in my lifetime, I figure could have an X-Wing in my garage by now.
On a serious note...the ad says in 2D in certain theaters, makes me think about whether I want to see it in 3D or in 2D since the original Ep1, when in theaters, looked like caca.

Geesh........time to bust out the VHS. Didn't Lucas change it when the first DVD version came out?

George just gave close to $1,000,000 to USC to build the most amazing film school building ever.
Does that get him a free pass?
Somehow, I think not with Star Wars fans!!!

Philanthropists can be crazy, too. I think all the haters have finally driven him mad.

It's his own fault!
First he screws with the story, then he updated all the graphics then....I mean Damn George did you even think about episodes 1-3 before filming started??
Jar-Jar Fraking Binks & Darth Vader was a moody teenager?
Thank goodness for Natalie Portman or I wouldn't have bought them on Blu-ray!
But seriously I could care less about all those other things & actually I liked episodes 1-3 but........... Dammit Hans shot first for good reason, do what you want, it's your story but can't you just give us hard core fans the original Star Wars episode 4 A New Hope EXACTLY the way we saw it in theaters in 1977? Please?
In Blu-ray too please!"Racing is........Life.......Everything before & after is just waiting"

I have the Death Star rebuilt a third time. I don't have a 3D tv so George can't make more money off of me. You see this is why I didn't buy a 3D set......to save money on another Star Wars release.
Okay we know that cavalier Han shot first. I was there in the cantina like the rest of you who saw it. Greedo was a bounty hunter and I REFUSE to believe that a trained and experienced bounty hunter hired by that worm ridden filth Jabba the Hut would not know how to use a blaster from that close range. I'm certain that Greedo would be a crackshot like Jango Fett even from a greater distance.
Greedo's last words were "I have been waiting for this for a long time" signifying he had every intention to blast Solo, WHICH AT THIS POINT SOLO KNEW IT and was not about to gamble his life any further with a bounty hunter he knew and who was sitting right accross the table from him. Solo knew that Greedo was packed, no doubts there. Solo then replied (WITH FULL DECISION MADE TO BLAST GREEDO) "Yeah I'll bet you would" and took Greedo out.
Solo knew it was do or die. He knew full well who Jabba is and what it means for Jabba to send someone after him, knowing he owed him a lot of money.

Tyler...they aren't your movies, they are 100% his. He can change them if he wants to because he owns them.
