    I somewhat disagree.

Seaonality on AV sites drops off in Feb. I have 15 years of numbers to back it up.

In this case, I wish it wasn't true.

Nevertheless, I think we can grow despite seasonality in 2012. I have MAJOR money, time and effort going into it.

Will you guys post more threads? That's KEY to our success.

I tried to post a thread about the remastered Star Trek TNG Blu-rays earlier but it said a moderator had to approve it & I guess it hasn't been approved yet.

I've had this happen to me at least five times thus far and the posts never appear.

Guys, I have just approved the posts you are talking about. What I "think" is happening is that our anti-spam software is flagging your posts and sending them to our thread Purgatory. It doesn't happen to all threads, but appears to be activated when external URL's are in your post.

Other threads which truly were SPAM were also held up in the queue and I have deleted them, so the function is needed and working, but a bit too sensitive.

I even found a post from Tracy in there.

If you run into this again please shoot me a PM so I can check it... however I will start paying closer attention to it.

This is one of the problems with anti-spam type algorithms. We absolutely need something to stop the spammers or our site would be over-run, however it does effect our real members on occasion.

Accept my apologies and keep posting!

No problem Jim. If it happens, I'll be sure to pass you a note.

Yeah, it happens to me, too and I'm a Mod, so I'd say its too sensitive. Probably need to dial that back a bit. I'd rather have more crap posts go through and then clean then up, then have to approve good stuff.

You'd think early to mid January would be a huge time for the forums (certainly not purchases) with CES and all the announcements/buzz around it. But I'd imagine shortly thereafter things drop off with the February blues.

The numbers don't drop off a cliff in Jan but by March they trend downward from the Holidays and January.

I'd like to buck that trend here.
