Focal Diablo Utopia's Just Arrived at my Office

    Guys,

I just got a pair of $13,000 Focal Diablo Utopia speakers for the Luxury Publishing Group offices. They are finished in Black with really nice stands.

I am running them on a Pass Labs XA30.5 class-A power amp, Transparent cables and an Apple Mac Pro being controlled by an iPad using the Crestron App.

The speakers are basically the middle of a set of Focal Grand Utopia BEs without the ability to move the speakers like you get on the BEs or say Wilsons. Personally, I don't care.

They are breaking in nicely and sound great out of the box. No grain. Really smooth. Fantastic high end performance.

Expect a full review coming soon in HomeTheaterReview.com.

I've never even heard a pair of Focal speakers but I love them. Awesome company! Watched their factory tour on Youtube the other day... so legit!

    Sweet Speakers,

I am smitten by these speakers, would love the Scala's but!!!
I had thought about the Electra's 28/38be's but I just keep winding back at these.
I am in the process of upgrading some equipment a new JL Audio Sub, and my Sonus Faber GP setup is for sale, when they go I will purchase these puppies in Piano Black with Stands, here in NH finding HiEnd audio dealers is becoming a task so having the opportunity to demo is difficult at best!!!
Let me know how these sweet speakers sound for you in the long run and if those metal tweeters become annoying during long sessions???? I have not owned any speakers that weren't soft domed in a long long time, metal would be new for me, and some reviewers have said previous versions of some Focals could get down right unpleasent after awhile.

    Thanks

    Moe in NH
