Nothing wrong with Salamander rack, just sayin'. This coming from the owner a Salamander rack, tucked away in an AV closet. Oh well, at least my Blu-ray and CD collection is enjoying looking at it.

Here is a shot of my rack before I added the ARC preamps....... Good thing my floor was concrete as the rack itself weighed in at over 600 pounds.... Add in the gear? It was closer to half a ton in a 26" x 28" space.......

Just t be clear, the gear there was a PS3, Nintendo Wii, Sony BDP-S300, Scientific Atlanta HD8300 cable DVR, EMM Labs TSD1, Krell Evo 707, EMM Labs DAC 2SE, Pure Power APS 700, and Proceed HPA 2.

If you are really observant you will notice their re no cables to the front..... This picture was shot after I got the ex-wife out of the house and was scrubbing the floors to rid the house of her cat's pee smell!

That rack is held together by Diamond side panels as the crystal ones were a little weak given the height of the rack. This rack is sick, totally adjustable, strong as hell, vibration dampening, magnetic isolating, and really cool looking! They make them to order so you can make them any configuration you like, check them out @ Audiav Audio Furniture Design, Audio Furniture, Audio Racks, Stands Page.

Tracy, I thought it would be fun to weigh in on the subject.

Tracy, great stuff. I actually prefer hiding my gear. I find it intimidates anyone when you have as much as we do. aLso I don't need all those blinking lights.

I did remove the Krell amps and placed them in the next room (which is my garage) because the last ones generated so much heat it really raised the temp by over 10-20 degrees!

Well, I’m not exactly accurate. I took the amps out, 500 lbs a long time ago.

Not just because they were very heavy and big, but they heated up the entire house!
