I really like the clean modern look of this turntable, but I can hear the Audiophiles sharpening their pitchforks and lighting torches. This turntable is way too cheap and simple to let live.

I agree - the industrial design is nice.

HomeTheaterReview should review one, and watch the comments pile up.

I agree. Plus the price is very good.

    Tracy,

I had been away from the lists and audiophiles for a while, only a decade or so. Do the audio fanatics strongly go after less expensive models or models that may not be perfect? For what purpose? How it looks has nothing to do with how it sounds.

I left the lists a decade ago when I could not stand the constant ranting and complaining.....not just over inexpensive items but over the expensive one!

I think most people who identify themselves as Audio or Videophiles are pretty narrow minded. If a new product isn't made the same way it always has been, it is deemed irrelevant. If a product comes in at a low price point; the same thing. It's almost like there is a price of admission that has to be paid.

Most of them are truly, stuck in the past.
