Not much this week: 38 Special Wild Eyed Southern Boys.

Of interest to me: There are 5 new Janis Ian remasters on cd, Sony Canada has put the 2 worst of the 5 titles on HDT as 192/24's: Night Rains & Miracle Row.

Hopefully PSM who are based in Canada will get all 5. I want the other 3 in 192/24!

Great album, one that we wore out in high school. The CD sounds pretty good so I won't be buying this one.

I've heard 2 of the Janis Ian hi-res versions. Slightly sibilant, but all in all a good remastering. The cd's are based on the same mastering, so they should also be nice.

As I mention above, at this point only 2 are out in the USA as hi-res. All the stores have them. All 5 are out on hi-res in Europe. USA residents can only buy the 3 Euro only ones with a combination of a VPN with aEuropean IP & a credit/debit card or Pay Pal account based in Europe. Hopefully the other 3 will hit the USA soon, as imo Between the Lines & Stars are her best 2 albums.

Really weak week. 2 Michael Nesmiths, the new Roger Daltry solo album, & a Paul Simon remix if Graceland in 44/24. The other 3 Janis Ian's are still only out in Europe.

The only things that catch my eye this week at HDT (both in 44/24) are the new Lily Allen (which isn't bad other than the 4 tracks with guest (c)rappers, & a recent Storyville late period Duke Ellington. There is a 192 late period (1976 post Richie Furay) Poco also.

I hope there's more. The last few weeks have been so mediocre title wise, + with all the propaganda about the growth of vinyl that I hope the format (my 1st choice) isn't dying.

So much (probably the majority) of my favorite music has never been released in 24 bit.

The originally European only Yardbirds (Jimmy Page edition) live in Stockholm 1967 is on HDT in 44/24. It's not awesome, but not awful either.
