    Sonance In Wall speakers

I am probably going to get Sonance in wall speakers, to replace the 20 year old B and Ws in my wall. I'll be using a Marantz 7009. Does anyone have an opinion on these? I wonder if I need to go to the $700 with a receiver.

Sonance makes very good In Wall/ Ceiling Speakers, etc. We used to be a dealer with them (a long time ago). At that time, we were direct with Sonance. Then they later changed their distribution. Now all or most go thru distribution. They were also one of the first In Wall/ In Ceiling Speaker manufacturer's. After that, we went to Speakercraft and then Niles. We also did Pinnacle, PSB, etc.

Snap A/V came out with the Signature Series which is off the charts. They actually put handles on them to hold them up while installing, and also from the tweeter Bar. The sound is vastly improved. Spring loaded dog legs. Unbelievable. Check them out. Snap A/V has re- invented the In Ceiling Speaker. SnapAV.

Jeff, thanks for the information. However, I ordered this Sonance yesterday.

Today they put in the Sonance speakers, replacing the 20 year old B and Ws I originally had. These are still in wall speakers and I realize that they will not ever sound as good as floor standing ones. But so far the replacement was warranted. That is, I was "losing" the dialogue, sometimes unable to make out clearly what was being said. I also noticed that the treble is much better and clearer and the bass is sharper. So far so good. Again, I do not want to give the impressions that these art great speakers, but they are good ones. And affordable.
