Amazon has updated their Fire TV streaming box. The new device comes ready for the newest 4K streaming apps, as well as a few other notable upgrades over the original Fire TV.

The new Fire TV has incorporates the company's Alexa voice command software for improved voice-activated searches, upgraded its wireless connectivity to 802.11ac MIMO, and added a faster MediaTek 64-bit quad-core processor. With all these new features it's nice to see that the Fire TV is selling for the same price ($99.99) as the original.

HomeTheaterReview's Adrienne Maxwell has just posted a review of the new Fire TV. Give it a read.

For more information about the new Amazon Fire TV here's the product page on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-DV83YW-...k+fire+tv#tech

I looked at this for my home but chose the new Roku4 instead, all the same services, actually more and less Amazon-centric and no Amazon ads.
