    My grandmother needed a daily, sometimes multiple times, remote intervention.

    There really needs to be an extremely simple, yet fully programmable remote. It should control the normal TV functions but not have any additional functions that can lead to the remote being in the wrong mode.

    Surely there is such a remote.
