What Are You Listening To Now (Lots of Videos)

This is a classic thread where our users share the music that they are listening to now with other users.

Feel free to list the song, pull the lyrics or even post a video.

With FM radio in North America basically unlistenable and satellite radio only a little better - its good to share what tunes are doing it for you be it classic rock, jazz, electronic or anything in between.

    Primus doing "Have a Cigar"

To start things out I am rocking an early morning session of Primus doing "Have a Cigar" the famous Pink Floyd track.

Les Claypool was rumored to be invited to be the bass player in Metallica after the death of Cliff Burton. As the story goes, he walked in and said "anybody wanna play some Isley Brothers"

Clearly he was too funky for Metallica who could have used some more creative energy from that point forward.

Foo Fighters with Brian May from Queen ALSO doing "Have a Cigar"

Another strong cover of a GREAT SONG. Hard hitting.

How can Foo Fightters be SO GOOD and Nirvana sucked so hard? This isn't whiny, wimp rock. Emo crap. This is happening shit.

    Check out the video

I'm not a huge Primus fan but the Foo Fighters cover is pretty good.

Since we're starting off with Seattle grunge bands....

Well, currently I just picked up via Amazon the platinum and gold collection of Henry Mancini. Some excellent music from classic tv shows. Peter Gunn one of my favorite cuts. Outstanding sax solo. And of course, The Pink Panther theme.
