John Warren Geils Passes
I just read that John Warren Geils, from the J. Geils Band, passed earlier today.
Geils formed a Blues-based trio back in the 1960s. It was not until 1981 did I learn of the band. Their Freeze Frame album started a string of Pop hits including the title track, "Centerfold", and "Angel in Blue."
The band broke up in 1985 but I will never forget their hit songs with Geils at the helm.
He was 71.

I had this record in FIRST GRADE.
It has a song on it called "piss on the wall" which likely was a little advanced for first grade but it was funny nonetheless.---

Probably due to my age while I own the 80's hits; I'm a much bigger fan of their 70's work. Full House (their first live album) is my fav; & I love the live version of House Party from the 2nd live album. I also like Geils' post band Jazz guitar cd's.
