    Stupid 4k question

My big room has an Oppo blu ray, the 105?and a jvc projector, not 4k but HD.

my upstairs is all 4k, the Oppo 205, Marantz 7011 and lgoled657c.

question: can I put my Oppo 205 in my big room, play a 4Kdisc And get a picture on my jvc he projector? Would I need a 2.2 hdmi cable to replace the one I have?
is this done automatically or do I have to play with settings?

Barry, the 4K disc will be downscaled to 1080p by the Oppo player. When it does the HDMI handshake, the projector will tell the player that it can only do 1080p and that's what the player will send out (or the AVR will tell the player that, depending on how they are hooked up).
