Redbox is now beta testing a new streaming service they are calling Redbox On Demand.

This new service allows users to either rent or buy shows and then watch them on your computer, smart TV, or mobile device. Currently, the On Demand service is available for your computer, iOS or Android device, Roku, or smart TV. There is no subscription fee and once you rent a title you have 30 days to start watching it and 48 hours to finish once you start viewing your selection. Any purchases or rental via the On Demand service also add to your Rewards Points total and are good for free rentals once you reach 100 points.

So, you may wonder if the Redbox boxes are going away. Redbox says that their rental kiosks are here to stay since they realize some customers prefer renting physical discs.
