The satellite provider is gearing up for their enhanced coverage of the 20018 Winter Olympic Games from PyeongChang, South Korea. Subscribers that have the latest Hopper 3 DVR which supports both 4K and HDR video will have access to a special channel, setup for the event. Multichannel.com reports that Channel 540 will air footage of the "Opening Ceremony, as well as from several events, including hockey, figure skating, short track speed skating, ski jumping and snowboard competitions. NBCU plans to offer up to four events from the previous day’s competition in 4K".

Dish will also have a treat for their subscribers without 4K displays. Dish's VOD platform will allow viewers to watch up to four different events on the same screen using what the company calls Sports Bar Mode.

So, does anyone have Dish and plan to watch the Olympics?
