Acoustic Indie Hi-Res Great Sounding Company: Blue Coast

For those into (mostly) unknown acoustic artists really well recorded, Blue Coast is worth checking out.

    https://bluecoastmusic.com/store

They offer all formats cd, SACD, 16 bit flac or wav, 24 bit flac or wav, & raw DSD/DSF.

They have a few artists that are known to acoustic & Jazz fans: Alex DeGrassi, Stanley Jordan, & Art Lande come to me off the top of my head.

Probably my fav album from them has unfortunately dropped from the catalog:

Quiles & Cole - Seminole Star

Other personal favs that are still available include
Stanley Jordan & Kevin Eubanks - Duets Complete

And Alex Degrassi - Special Event 19

They also have a number of largely unknown artists. What I've heard musically has all been good, & the sound is always superb. The owner used to work with Windham Hill (who produced some great cd's in the early days) & is really aware of the brickwalling & natural sound issues we've discussed here.

As an acoustic music fan, I'm hoping they either record new music from some of my fav's who don't have a label at the moment, or license some classic recordings (there are several Windham's I'd buy in a heart beat in hi-res as an example)

They also give out samplers, both a few tracks from something new; or for those who can compare all formats 1 song is every downloadable format they offer.

If you're an acoustic music fan, definitely worth checking out.

I have a couple of Stanley Jordon CDs. I haven't played them in a long time.

It's good to see that he and Kevin Eubanks are still making music. They are both talented musicians.

As a former pro guitarist, Jordan's 2 handed style has always amazed me. When I was at my peak, if I turned my compressor up to "11" (lol) I could maybe do 20% of what he did. I assume he also had specially built guitars, but what he does still is technically stunning.
