You are right David. In fact, I waited longer than I had expected to get a really good 4K projector. I did not get a first generation ones. I want some hope that this one will last many many years because I don’t expect a new technology to replacing it soon. I just hate it that I had to plan for it so far in advance to get the best price and then I have to wait and wait. The order has to be in by the end of August

Did you buy local or online? I know AVS had a pretty good pre-order price. I buy direct from JVC since I work in the industry at a very good price. The negative of that is I have to wait for every US order to be fulfilled and their warehouse to have inventory before I can purchase one. Most likely, I'll be looking to get one sometime in February, but I'm hoping sooner than that. I'm going for the middle model though...I'm not rich like you and Jerry
