I just read that Roy Clark has passed.

Many know him from his 24 years as the co-host of the entertainment variety show, Hee Haw. However, Roy Clark was, in my opinion, one of the best guitarists of his generation.

He may have been the light-hearted goofy guy that was part slap-stick comedian along with Buck Owen but he had serious skills on the guitar, banjo, or most any other string instrument. Here's a clip that I found of him playing a Classical Guitar standard Malaguena, on The Odd Couple.

......or how about this?

No matter what style of music, he was always the entertainer. Looking back at these videos, and there are a ton of them out there, really brings back some great memories as Hee Haw was required viewing at my Grandparent's house.

Roy passed earlier today at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 85.
