    SVS "Redesigns" the Port Plug

The folks at SVS are continually making improvements and innovations to take your audio experience to the next level.

This year, the company has redesigned their ported subwoofer line's port plug to enhance your LFE enjoyment this Christmas season. Here's the new design. What do you think?

A good WHOMP would blow that elf across the room. I'd pay to see it.

I'm wondering what effect an Elf on the Shelf would have on the sub's native tuning. In the photo above, is that considered blocking 1 1/2 ports?

I decided to add 16Hz capability to my subs and can't find either set of plugs. Maybe they weren't provided for the PB-13 Ultras? I'll call SVS this morning. Where's an Elf when you need one.

The port plugs were built into the dense foam padding that protected my SVS. As a matter of fact, it was made of the same material and I can see where someone could have mistakenly thrown them out if they didn't know to look for them.

As for the Elf (LFE) port plug option, my local Hallmark will adopt them out to you. That's where ours came from.

    Hi Tracy,

I likely threw out the port plugs. I didn't keep the boxes, I'm overwhelmed by boxes. When the area under the 2nd set of stairs to the basement was full, then it was decision time.
    Thanks for the explanation.
