    Here's the press release:

JANUARY 2019 – Audio Research is proud to announce the opening of an all-new headquarters and production facility. Requiring a substantial investment, the new facility is custom-designed for ARC’s unique and specific needs relating to production, training, service, engineering, and listening. The new 20,000 square foot space is the result of Audio Research’s commitment to prioritize growth and innovation in providing the best in high performance audio technology.

Since its founding in 1970, this is Audio Research’s fifth location. Originally in Minneapolis, this new location is in Maple Grove, a short drive from downtown Minneapolis. Aside from some industrial design provided by Livio Cucuzza, all other product design and manufacturing is performed in-house by Audio Research’s engineering and production teams. The new space includes a lobby with an active Audio Research system, purpose-built listening rooms, streamlined manufacturing work-flow, and features many archive products on display, from the original SP-1 and Dual 100 to classics like the SP-11 and D-79B.
The move was finalized in August of last year.

I love to see American AV companies thrive. Have you heard any of their gear?

Haven't heard them but remember them as vacuum tube specialists; wonder if they make their own?

Much (maybe all of their preamps and amps) of their gear is tube-based.

Make their own tubes? Not sure but I doubt it. Most new tube gear that I see use Russian-made tubes.

I was in MN this summer playing golf and seeing clients.

I wish I could have seen the finished results.

I am too scared to go there now. It is just too cold.

I want an ARC preamp however. Perhaps in my next place which could be coming soon?

They routinely have lows below zero with windchill temps of MUCH lower. No thanks, it's cold enough for me here in Georgia.

I do love Audio Research's gear. All those cold temps keep their engineering and design staff indoors where it's warm. Maybe that's why their gear is so good.
