I have to regrill by PSB subwoofer.

I have a PSB Subsonic 5 which is still operating nicely. However, my cats were not so kind to the grill and I have to replace it. The grill frame is still intact. How do I remove the grill from the frame? Do you have any suggested products that are safe to use? Also, what product can I use to "glue" the new fabric to the frame?

Is it a plastic frame? It would be pretty simple if it were wood.

Yes, it looks like glue and I know they make fabric glue. However, my former tower speakers had that same fabric stretched completely around the whole speaker. It was glued on the top and bottom using some type of spray adhesive.

I would imagine you would glue one end (maybe the top portion) and clamp it into place. Then stretch the fabric around the bottom, glue and clamp it down. I would let that dry completely and then do the left and right trimming the excess off after I was sure it was completely dry.

Did the factory offer any help? They may redo it and you only pay shipping.

I just got a response back stating that they no longer carry the grill.

Find some acoustically transparent material and give it a shot. I bet some place like Parts Express has it.

I don't have a cat but I have seen and heard many people who have cats say they "love" speakers.

I suppose the only AV gear that a cat doesn't like are flat panel displays.

That sub has been moved up to the bedroom having been replaced by a Subsonic 6. Now I have to get serious about regrilling it.
