Chasing Classic Cars on Velocity Network

I know we have some serious GEAR HEADS on this forum.

Yesterday, there was an all-day marathon of Chasing Classic Cars on Velocity Network (formerly Discovery HD) which was pretty cool. For those that don't watch the show - Wayne Carini is a Boomer guy from CT who hunts down exotic and classic cars and either restores them and or sells them at auction. He shows them sometimes and has lots of cool customers and car nut friends.

Not sure if this video will work but its Wayne finding an actual BUGATTI in a barn. Insane.

This might be reality TV but I watch this stuff more than vampire shows or network dramas. I find it pretty cool.

Carini also sells a lot of the cars that he buys.

Here is F40 Motorsport website (you are welcomed for the link Wayne) to see what he's got at his place in CT.

I like to watch Wayne's shows too (when I'm not watching Mecum auctions).

PS. The Monterey concours in 3D was very cool too.

I have been to the Monterey events but the sight of cars parked on 18 at Pebble makes me sick. I just can't take it.... One of the best holes in golf. I know its only one day per year but I just can't take it. I just can.t

I have a very difficult time watching Motor Week. John Davis has all the excitement of an elevator ride.

I enjoy the power block on weekends.

I agree that guy on Motor Week is an emotional flatliner but the show was pretty good back in the day on PBS.

Chasing Classic Cars has more drama too it. Better plot lines.

I am more excited about a Bugatti barn find than I am about a new Acura.

I'm not a big fan of Davis either, but I always Tivo it with a season pass; it's one of the few shows that give some test data on their cars. Their hd photography isn't bad either.

I like the idea of Chasing Classic Cars, but the guy has the screen presence of beige wallpaper. Same with John Davis. His voice is brutal, nearly as bad as Billy Mays.

What we need is 52 episodes a year of Top Gear. Even the "worst" episodes of Top Gear are better than any other car program.
